This is the the first aftermarket intake I know of, the company was Golden Eng. in Glendale CA. Made in early 1953 and Max Balchowsky used one like it clocked at 135 mph!
Max's experimental heads, Max did more than anyone at that time to seek out hidden power form the nailhead.
This was Max's first Weber intake, this is for one head. Later versions bolted to heads with intake flanges removed for 10 extra HP.
Buick Factory experimental 2-4 intake for the 401-425, Buick made different styles and this is one of them.
